Brandon Kinzer Earns Top Ten in Paul Crockett Memorial; Readies for 201 Speedway

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team wrapped up the month of July with a pair of special events in the states of Ohio and Indiana from July 27-30. On Wednesday night at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, the STARS Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week came to town and a $3,000 top prize was on the line. Brandon Kinzer qualified second quickest in his group during time trials and later grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his heat race. BK was then up to ninth on the rough racing surface in the feature, but retired late in the distance and was paid for eighteenth at the pay window at the former K-C Raceway.

Action quickly shifted to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday evening for the annual running of the 'Paul Crockett Memorial.' The unsanctioned show at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds oval, which was part of the Jackson County Fair, paid $2,500 to the winner. Brandon posted the third fastest lap in his group during qualifying prior to running third in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in the main event, the Lexington, Kentucky driver wound up finishing right where he started... in the ninth position. Complete results from both venues can be accessed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and www.brownstownspeedway.com.

Next up for the #18 team will be a visit to 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky this Saturday night, August 6 for the ‘Hatfield/McCoy Feuding 50.’ Chris Tilley’s brainchild – the Iron Man Mountain Championship Series – will preside over the single-day throwdown in eastern Kentucky and a $5,000 payday will be up for grabs.
