According to DoD his motor was misfiring badly during the pace laps and he pulled off. Came back out and was going to start in the rear but problems continued and he pulled off again.

They seem to be having this issue with both cars and it goes back to PDC last week. Said in interview last night that they have changed almost everything engine and fuel related and can't figure it out. Seems weird and I am sure very frustrating.

and in the end it is probably a bad ground, bad ignition switch, something stupid, as much as those cars buck around, It could easily happen

We had a ignition switch plague us for a month once. Noticed it one day and finally found the gremlin...wiring can be such a bi*ch...

Our was a toggle switch to turn the power off and on. Starter switch was good. Had a pinched fuel line once also. Battled with that for a month.
