Tyler Millwood Bags Top 5 at Dixie; Set for Labor Day Racing Action
Kingston, Georgia (09/02/16) – Tyler Millwood recorded another Top 5 finish on Saturday evening in his Millwood Plumbing #31 Longhorn Chassis Super Late Model. The Georgia racer notched a 4th-place finish at Dixie Speedway.
“We are really starting to make some gains on this Longhorn Race Car, and I think we could definitely knock down some wins before this season is over,” said Millwood. “The redraw didn’t do us any favors on Saturday night, but we still had a solid outing. I’m getting more comfortable in the car and Derek (Gahring) and everyone with my team is working hard, and it’s showing with our on-track results.”
Behind the wheel of the Derek Gahring Enterprises #31 Super Late Model, Tyler Millwood visited Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event. Qualifying fastest in a field of 14 entries, Millwood received the 6th-starting spot for the feature after the redraw. Breaking into the Top 5, Tyler gained two positions landing a 4th-place finish behind Luke Jenkins, Johnny Chastain, and Mike McConnell with Frank Ingram coming in 5th.

The Labor Day weekend will see the team entering a pair of events in Alabama and Georgia. On Saturday night a $4,000-to-win, Ultimate Super Late Model Series event will be held at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama). On Sunday night the action shifts northeast to Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) for the annual Rome Boss event, which posts a $3,000 top prize. He is also scheduled to compete in the $5,000-to-win, Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series event as well.
