Dennis Erb, Jr. Ready for Labor Day Holiday Triple Shot in Ohio and West Virginia

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team had a busy tripleheader weekend in store for them from August 25-27 in the states of Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana and walked away with a trio of top five performances! Things kicked off last Thursday at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois with a $5,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series battle. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in fourth quickest in his group during qualifying prior to running second in his heat race. Dennis then climbed four spots during the 40-lap feature event en route to a strong fourth place showing behind only victor Bobby Pierce, Ryan Unzicker, and Billy Moyer.

A pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tilts then greeted the team at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. On Friday in the $10,000 to win 'John Bradshaw Memorial' at Ponderosa, Dennis won his heat race and later placed third in the 50-lap main event behind only feature winner Scott Bloomquist and runner-up Tim McCreadie. At Lawrenceburg on Saturday evening in the $12,000 to win 'Whiskey City 60,' Dennis ran third in his heat race before eventually winding up fifth in the attrition-filled headliner behind Scott Bloomquist, Earl Pearson, Jr., Brandon Sheppard, and Gregg Satterlee. Complete results from all three races can be viewed online at www.marsracingseries.com and www.lucasdirt.com.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take the #28 team to the states of Ohio and West Virginia over the hectic Labor Day holiday weekend (September 2-4) for three more pivotal point battles. A $10,000 top prize will be on the line later tonight at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, while a $12,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs on Saturday night in the annual running of the ‘Pepsi 60 River Days Rumble’ at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. The 48th Annual ‘Hillbilly Hundred’ will then cap off the blockbuster holiday weekend on Sunday at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia, as a whopping $25,000 windfall will await the winner of the 100-lapper. Dennis comes into the weekend sixth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings. Additional information on these races can be accessed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.
