Kent Robinson Preps for World 100 with Earl Baltes Classic Win
Bloomington, Indiana (09/05/16) – Kent Robinson headed to Eldora Speedway on Sunday evening to get some track time for the upcoming World 100 in his Billy Moyer Victory Race Car #7r JB’s Salvage/ Jay D ickens Racing Engine Super Late Model. Not only would he get track time, but he would also score a victory at the famed, ˝-mile oval.
“Anytime you make it to victory lane at Eldora, it’s something special but to do it the week before the World 100 is a major confidence boost for our team,” said Robinson. “We’re getting this new Billy Moyer Victory Race Car dialed in, and I’m really excited for next weekend.”
Preparing for the famed World 100, Kent Robinson headed to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Sunday for the 9th Annual Baltes Classic. Drawing 40 Super Late Models for the Sunoco American Late Model Series event, Robinson started the night off with a heat race win, giving him the 2nd-starting spot for the feature. Working his way around the leader on lap 14, Kent held off a charging Billy Moyer to pick up his second victory of the season. Moyer, Duane Chamberlain, Jimmy Mars, and Nick Hoffman completed the Top 5. Kent pocketed a $3,000 payday for his triumph in the 25-lap A-Main.

Kent now looks to carry his momentum into the 46th annual World 100, which will be held on September 8-10 at Eldora Speedway. Thursday and Friday night’s programs will be headlined by twin $10,000-to-win features each night, while Saturday’s finale boats a whopping $49,000 top prize.
