Morgan Bagley Bounces Back in WoO Action; World 100 Next

Longview, Texas (09/07/16) – It would be a giant understatement to say that the 2016 season has been a rough one for Morgan Bagley. However, the Texan bounced back over the Labor Day weekend with a trio of strong runs in his P&W Sales #14m Black Diamond by Club 29/ Clements Racing Engines Inc. Super Late Model. “This year has left us all scratching our heads,” laughed Bagley. “We just haven’t been able to get much to go our way, but we haven’t given up. We’ve made a lot of changes to our car, and it’s all finally starting to work out. I just appreciate my team for standing behind me and working through these challenges. I really believe we are finally headed in the right direction.”

Returning to competition with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series over the course of the Labor Day weekend, Morgan Bagley traveled to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for the opening round of the two-day Working Man Weekend. In a field of 33 Super Late Models, Bagley qualified 11th fastest in his group, earning him the 11th-starting spot for one of two qualifying features. Working his way into the Top 5, Morgan improved seven positions in the 25-lap, opening night A-Main, registering a 4th-place finish behind Rick Eckert, Brian Shirley, and Frank Heckenast Jr. with Chub Frank finishing 5th.

On Saturday night for the 75-lap main event, Morgan rolled off the starting grid in the 5th position via his performance in the qualifying feature the previous night. With $20,000 on the line, Bagley captured a runner-up finish behind Jimmy Mars with Billy Moyer Jr., Rick Eckert, and Mike Norris rounding out the Top 5.

Wrapping up the busy weekend, Bagley stopped at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) on Sunday for the 18th annual Jeff’s Auto Body and Recycling Center Late Model National Open. Sending the Top 4 out of the heats to the feature event, Morgan posted a 3rd-place finish, earning him the 11th-starting position for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top 10, Morgan Bagley advanced four positions in the 40-lapper, notching a 7th place finish.

Morgan currently resides eleventh in the WoO points standings. Full results from these events as well as the latest standings are available at www.WoOLMS.com .

This weekend, September 8-10 the team heads to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) to compete in the 46th annual World 100. Morgan will also have his teammate, Zach McMillan entering the event with him. Action opens with twin $10,000-to-win features on both Thursday and Friday before the weekend comes to a climax with the $49,000-to-win finale on Saturday evening.

“We said that if we ran well at Lernerville and Selinsgrove that we would go to Eldora, and we really had a great weekend, so now we’re headed to the Big E,” said Bagley. “Hopefully we can make some noise this weekend and let everyone know that we are a contender again.”

For anyone, who can’t attend the event all three nights will be broadcast live on pay-per-view at www.EldoraSpeedway.com and www.DirtOnDirt.com .
