Billy Moyer Masters Farmer City Again for $5,000; Guns for Seventh Globe Trophy!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) "Mr. Smooth" Billy Moyer racked up his ninth feature victory of the 2016 racing season on Friday night, September 2 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois! In what could be his final start at the fairgrounds bullring where he has captured numerous wins throughout his illustrious career, Billy laid down the quickest lap in his group during American Late Model Series (ALMS) qualifying prior to winning his inverted heat race. After starting the headliner from the pole position, Billy led each and every circuit en route to bagging the $5,000 windfall over Bobby Pierce, Jason Feger, Ryan Unzicker, and Kevin Weaver!

Following a day off on Saturday, the #21 team rolled into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday evening, September 4 for the annual running of the 'Baltes Classic.' Billy timed in twenty-fourth fastest overall during the ALMS qualifying session and later ran second in heat race action. The Batesville, Arkansas superstar then rallied from his eighth starting spot in the $3,000 to win main event to earn a strong runner-up performance behind only victor Kent Robinson. Complete results from both Labor Day weekend races can be viewed online at www.americanlatemodelseries.com.

The biggest and most prestigious event in our industry will take center stage over the upcoming September 8-10 weekend, as Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio will play host to the 46th Annual ‘World 100.’ A full slate of time trials, heat races, last chance races, and $10,000 to win Twin 25s will be on tap on both Thursday and Friday at the “Big E” leading into Saturday’s ‘World 100.’ Six heat races, B-Features, and the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza are all on the card for Saturday evening and a whopping $49,000 top prize will be up for grabs.

Billy has made twenty-four career starts in the “Biggest Dirt Race in the World” and he has amassed a record six race titles. He will be shooting for his seventh globe trophy this weekend after winning the historic race in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2000, and 2010.
