Anyone know the last official race that ole Bloomer ran with his old black and White paint scheme with the #18? I would guess it was sometime in 1997. Always thought the schemes he and R. Johnson ran with Barry Wright were some of the best looking cars. Would love for Bloomquist to maybe do a throwback wrap for one race.

I loved those schemes that Bloomer and Ronnie J. had.

I am almost certain he debuted the Zero scheme at the HAT Shootout in 98. I remember it not having any decals on it other than the zero and yin/yang.

It was the year that Moyer won in the GVS car I remember that much. Maybe that was 97. And it is bad ju-ju to say spell it Ying. It's Yin. The guys in the round ships will get you for the other spelling.

He debuted the zero early in 1997. He started the season with Barry Wright, and hired Wendell Wallace's former crew chief Gary Winger (I think was his name). He split with Wright early in 97. He was running the Zero by the 97 Dream (Bill Frye incident). The first time I saw the Zero was in May at Tazewell Speedway. It was plain with virtually no sponsor logos.
It was a Rayburn, if I'm not mistaken.
