that's not 100 percent true. our driver started 27th and finished 8th and never left the bottom. If we could have gotten a late race caution we might have had a 4th place car.

But if look at that Vid... See how little room there is for his head from the top of the car.. If that cage gives even a little it would hit his head... Or if he was setting on his side, how little there is too stop a car from getting too him...If the other car hit the roof...

Note, he also doesn't appear to have a full containment seat, or at least he doesn't have teh left side head protection. I assume he had some sort of Hans like device though.

Was not there in person but would be willing to bet the 2nd and 5th place finishers were on the bottom as well.

And congrats to a great World weekend for you guys.

Yea That seat dont help his head at all...Plus no Window net so his head could hit the top of the door... A Hans is good for going forward but he has nothing for side whip lash at all

Yea, would hope some of these guys/teams would learn from the Unger incident and add some safety features back in. I can't imagine running without a net or something to stop me from going out or something from coming in.

Page and Erb were the only two that I seen could really get in on the bottom and be able to leave on the bottom lap after lap successfully.

Clayton you are 100% right. Pierce had the most dominant car by far. Not as dominant as the zero in 2014 but woulda took a caution with less than I'd say 15 laps on the board to beat him. A caution with 18-20 laps and 32 might have made it back through. He kept the car straight and let it float to the soft dirt by the cushion and really did a good job conserving his tires.

Yes having the best setup, keeping the car straight as possible, and finding the least abrasive lines was a winning combo. Why have 900hp if this is all you get? I would rather see 600hps cars hammering all out on a heavy track any day. Or 900hp.

Cardirt0 I'm not exactly sold on that one. Any driver in Ohio could have won with that car that night. Give him an equal car and when he makes a clean pass and he isn't bouncing off the cushion??!! I will make my decision on that
