Built a new car, A 77 caprice. Long story short the pinion angle is at appox. 10 degrees and i didn't realize i needed to check the drive shaft, but could those 2 angles added together at the rear end cause severe damage to things like drive shaft, transmission and bellousing ? Using a stock powerglide.

7 would be better, you wont get enough travel on stock type rear suspension to use 10 degree. Yes it could cause binding on u joints, might need long yoke for drive shaft.

I've seen it bind up on the pinion under braking and throw the driveshaft.

After getting another angle finder the pinion and was at 12 degrees. Bouncing on a ruff track and under breaking as fox said should of been the whole problem. The angle is at 3 degrees. Ready to test it and see what happens. Opinions ?
