Southern Nationals Bonus Series Prepares for Crossville and Duck River in October

BRASSTOWN, N.C. – September 25, 2016 – The Southern Nationals Bonus Series is readying for two busy weekends in October as the tour will sanction the Tennessee State Championship at Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway and the Fifth Annual Deep Fried 75 at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, Tenn.
On Friday and Saturday October 7 and 8 the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will sanction the Tennessee State Championship at Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway paying $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start. There will be an open practice session on Thursday Night October 6th. Friday Night will feature Qualifying and Heat Races followed by the Conseys and 60-lap main on Saturday Night. The Crate Late Models, Sportsman, Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, Rear Wheel Drives and the Dwarfs will all be on the racing docket for the weekend’s action.
Then on Friday and Saturday Night October 14 and 15 the series will race at the Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, Tenn. for the Fifth Annual Deep Fried 75 paying $13,000-to-win and $700-to-start. An open practice session will be held on Thursday October 13th. Friday Night’s preliminaries will feature Qualifying and Heat Races followed on Saturday by Conseys and the 75-lap Feature event. In addition to the Super Late Models, the Crate Late Models, 2-Barrel Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Pony, Stars Mod Lites and E-Mods will join in on the racing action that weekend.
Official Host Hotels of the two Tennessee races have been announced. The official Host Hotel of the Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway include the Quality Inn located at 4035 Highway 127 North in Crossville, Tennessee. The Phone number is (931) 484-1551 and the rate will be $74.99 per night. The Host Hotel for the Duck River Raceway Park event will be the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham located at 1207 N. Main Street in Shelbyville, Tennessee 37160. The previous winner of the Tennessee State Championship was Shane Clanton in 2008 at Crossville Speedway. Previous winners of the Deep Fried 75 at Duck River Raceway Park include: Vic Hill (2012), Josh Putnam (2013), Riley Hickman (2014) and Frank Heckenast Jr. (2015).
