The Truth Triumphs for Thunderdog UFO Win; Satterlee Set for McKean County

Indiana, Pennsylvania (09/26/16) – Gregg Satterlee piloted his Satterlee Petroleum Distributors #22 Rocket Chassis XR1/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $6,000 win with the UFO Championship Challenge Series on Saturday night at Dog Hollow Speedway By DMS Motorsports.

“This was a really tough field of cars this weekend, and we were just a little off in the feature on Friday night,” said the Pennsylvania driver, who is known by the nickname, “The Truth.” “Luckily we were able to bounce back and capitalize on Saturday night to get the big win.”

Competing in the UFO Championship Challenge series weekend, Gregg Satterlee traveled to Dog Hollow Speedway (Strongstown, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for the Flyin’ Floyd Kline Klassic. In a stout field of 53 cars in the opening round of the two-day affair at the clay oval, Gregg received the pole position for the $2,000-to-win feature via preliminary events. Hanging onto a Top-10 finish, Satterlee posted a 6th-place outing in the 38-lap affair.

On Saturday for the Thunderdog Showdown, Satterlee started the night with a heat race win. With the prelim victory, Gregg secured the 2nd-starting spot for the main event. Outdueling pole-sitter Dan Angelicchio in the late stages of the main event, Satterlee captured his eighth victory of the season and fourth UFO-sanctioned win. Topping Angelicchio, Waylon Wagner, Brian Tavenner, and Alex Ferree at the line, Satterlee pocketed a $6,000 payday for his triumph in the 61-lap A-Main.
