I'm sure the answer may be obvious to some, but wondering if anyone has experimented much with this? I know a softer tire would wear faster, but wouldn't a harder tire have more of a tendency to glaze. or seal off? I'm not talking about a track that's taking rubber, I'm talking glazed slick. 3,100lb metric street stock, any 8" tire. I currently have a mix of hoosier softs and American racer ROD's. Any opinions would be great, thx guys!

A hard black shiny track would be less abrasive and I would run a softer tire. A hard black non shiny track (Not rubbered) is a more abrasive track and will tear up a soft tire so I would run a harder tire. This assumes you have a firm grasp of throttle control. if you tear up every tire you run then just stick with the hard tires.
