In case you missed it and are looking for some new reading material, I wrote and posted a blog last week on still being thankful for Atomic (TN) Speedway 10 years after its closure.

Only went there a few times, but it became my favorite track. Best track prep I ever saw!

Used to park my Peterbilt on the westbound shoulder of I-40 and watch the races as long as I could or until the Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped by to say "Hi!".....

If I look at the location where the track once stood on Google Earth, where exactly was it located, say in regards to I-40?

about 100 yards off the westbound lane of I-40 if I remember right.

I can see that in the pictures but at what exit?

Just west of exit 364 on the west bound side, Crete Carriers occupy the never forgotten Atomic Speedway. Moto X track is still present just west of the property. Awesome place was Atomic! seen many great shows there. Used to visit the Cross Eyed Cricket Campground on the other other side of the interstate. Many memories there as well.

Great track. My best memory was at a day race late in Freddy Smith's career. My boys pointed out an older lady whooping and hollering''Freddy,Freddy''.We got to looking around and there were several older and exuberant lady Freddy Smith fans.My kids still talk about it and they are grown now.
