BRASSTOWN, NC (March 15, 2017)--Due to cold temperatures forecasted and late rain for(not a nice word)Friday night, promoter Ray Cook regrettably has to postpone the Season Opening Southern Nationals Bonus Series event scheduled for(not a nice word)Friday Night(not a nice word)March 17, 2017 at Tri-County Race Track. A makeup date for the Tri-County Race is TBA.(not a nice word)
Saturday's Shamrock 40 event at Boyd's Speedway is still on as scheduled.(not a nice word)
Saturday March 18th(not a nice word)the tour will visit the David Duplissey and Dale McDowell promoted Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Ga. for a 40-lap $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start event. This year's edition of the Shamrock 40 will also feature racing in the Crate Late Models ($1,500-to-win), Sportsman ($600-to-win), Hobby ($300-to-win) and Street Stocks ($300-to-win). Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga. won the 2016 Southern Nationals Bonus Series version of the Gobbler race that paid $10,000-to-win at Boyd's Speedway. Shanon Buckingham of Morristown, Tenn. opened the 2017 season at Boyd's Speedway with his $3,500 Cabin Fever 40 victory January 28th in the Schaeffer's Oil(not a nice word)Iron-Man(not a nice word)Championship Series event.
On Saturday at Boyd's Speedway, the pit gates will open(not a nice word)at 3:00 pm(not a nice word)and the grandstand gates will open(not a nice word)at 4:00 pm(not a nice word)with the driver's meeting slated for(not a nice word)6:00 pm(not a nice word)and the hot laps will roll out soon after.
