Where are you measuring? Typically we used to run 8" +/- 1/4" measure front lower control arm bolt to ground (that's with nova lowers and pintos)

You cannot get an accurate ride heighth by measuring the frame to the ground. A taller or shorter tire, as well as air pressure changes that number. The best way to set the ride height is between the frame and a suspension point, or off of a arm or trailing arm angles. If they are unknown, measure the height of the lower ball joint off of the ground where it contacts the lower a frame. Level that point with the inner a arm bolt thru the crossmember. Taller balljoints lower the front of the car. Spindle drop changes it, as well as how far you ream the ball joints into the spindle. Tire size, and camber also affect it.
