Well after the weekend did anyone know how they made out? Seemed like great on car counts and it was decent, at least friday, on fan attendance. I know this race was centered on taking all profits and putting them back into the facility. Anyone know what improvements they are looking at and when now that the race is over? Thanks!

As far as the track itself goes... leave it be! The rest of the place, well.... Lol, plenty room for improvement but imo you can leave it alone too. FC is great racing!! Thats all that matters to me...

WHAT??? No Mr. Wetter, NO!!! If you was to do that with dollies go the other way... then haul that junk out!! Lol, putting up better ones is the why to go, then put them closer the the track!

The back stretch yes... Put them closer. I set back there before and by the end of the night I looked stoned from squinting all night :D :D Dam, hahaha....

At one time they had to run a Horse race once a year to keep the fair Sat with the State .. i don't know if they still have to do that now or not ...That is why they did not move them be for..
There is a reason Fairbury and FarmerCity still have a 1/2 mile track..it has something to do with the Not for profit..With the State..

Actually I'm far sighted and yes that grandstand is actually pretty far away from the track.

They need to put up a wall Like Fairbury did and put the seats in the inside of the big track and the out side of the small track like Fairbury did....

Maybe they could use a clock so they could get the racing started at a decent time.

Honestly we thought the racing was a little off from what we have come to expect. Maybe the rain hurt the track?

PA. You can not hear or understand anything said.I think their board is bad. I listen to the PA broadcast on 87.9 with my headphones and I could still hear the static/interference.

I am in no way affiliated with the track, but I have heard the bathrooms and a score board were some things. They did take a survey earlier this year to get input from the fans. I would assume they will have to see how the rest of the season goes, then make those plans in the off season.

Bathrooms are a must and new bleachers would be great

they need a scoreboard.

If they moved the seats closer to the track where would we get our donuts?

they need a scoreboard.

From what I've heard that's the number one priority.

been going to FC for a long time and while it's not the nicest track around it's open and they have racing so I support the place and will continue doing that

I support the track as well. Yet they need quicker programs and upgrades to the facility. If not the place will struggle in the futute aa the young ones may not support it like we all have

We go to farmer city about 2 times a year and we wont be back until improvements are made. I guess will have to find somewhere to go racing on saturday nights 😀

It was about as crappy as it gets. Mostly real low audio with what sounded like static entering into the system. Mice/Rats... chewing on the old wiring probably. Alot of tracks need to get up to date with pa equipment. Nice to hear what they're saying after the race but may as well throw the mic on the floor when the green is flown. No pa system can be heard then and imo... thats a good thing.

I rather go to run down track that puts on good racing. than a track that has prefect bathroom, food, stands, ect. That puts on one lane train race any day of the week.

Agree, but when the racing gets mediocre or worse along with the run down facility, people will find another track (see Kankakee)

People that complain about bathrooms and stuff like that are nothing more than a bunch of pansy snowflake liberals.

I'd vote for spending some money on bathroom improvements first. And then at least a lap counter board. I can deal with the bathrooms as they are (& did on Friday night). Those won't keep me away from a big show, but I can see where that would keep away a chunk of the fan base. Doesn't have to be a taj majal like Fairbury's new bathrooms, but an upgrade would come in handy.

As to the scoreboard/lap counter, even something like what Lincoln has (a lap counter board on either side of flag stand) would be plenty sufficient. Doesn't have to be something real fancy, just functional.

As I said, these things won't keep me away but would help to enhance the experience for all fans.

Do they even have running water there? Those porta-potties on the north end/4th turn are scary.
But that doesn't keep me away, always see good racing at Oakshade.

Are there not zoning ordinances there or does it fall under the red neck clause?
