Looking for some thoughts and opinions from folks who have built/ran these engines. Curious about what the best components are to use in building the short block and which heads you've had the best luck with. Thanks in advance!

Get some EQ heads with good valvetrain parts. Good 350 short block, spend a little more money for insurance/ longevity. Several cam mfg know the IMCA combo, Bullet seems to be easy to talk to.

Jeff is close.

Hollow stems and lw lifters are a waste of money only turning 7400rpm
ATI balancer isn't legal.

I didnt know about ati I ran one for 3 years.

I disagree on the valves and the lifters. Lighter is always better they dont cost any more than non lw stuff.

I only turned 6800 sometimes a rare night of 7000 but never over. My motor had a tiny cam and wide lobe separation and made a ton of usable smooth tq, the most blessington had ever seen on a 500 cfm motor on his dyno and he stated during break in of the motor he wouldnt need to turn that thing over 6800 to compete..
