Saturday Night Showdown Rained Out at Richmond Raceway
Richmond, KY – July 1, 2017 – Richmond Raceway was set to present its 3rd Annual Saturday Night Showdown on Saturday evening, but weather fortunes would not be in the track’s favor as an extremely heavy cloudburst of rain would hit the track a little after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and would see the evening’s racing events rained out.
The next event at Richmond Raceway will now take place on Saturday July 8 and will be the track’s Modified Mayhem event, paying $1,500 to win for Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds, along with a full racing program for Sonic Late Models ($1,500 to win), AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks ($750 to win), and Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders ($500 to win). Also, the Mini-Cup/Cyclones have been added to the July 8 racing card and will race for $100 to win.
Richmond Raceway is located at 328 Greens Crossing Road, just a short drive from the city limits of Richmond, KY.
