Brandon Kinzer and Kinzer Motorsports Slated for Weekend Off Following Brownstown
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team rolled into the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday evening, July 1 for the annual running of the 'Born Free 40.' The MARS DIRTcar Series East division sanctioned the $5,000 to win affair, which drew a strong 26 car field to the 1/4-mile, semi-banked venue.
Brandon laid down a strong lap during the qualifying session before slipping back to fifth in his loaded heat race. The Lexington, Kentucky ace then started the 40-lap feature from the inside of the seventh row and vaulted up inside of the top ten on the lightning-quick, reworked racing surface. At the checkers, BK dropped back a couple of spots and wound up eleventh in the final finishing order of the action-packed race. The Kinzer Motorsports team will now take the upcoming July 7-8 weekend off from dirt-slinging competition. There is a good chance that Brandon will race again the following weekend, but plans are not set in stone at this time.
