201 SPEEDWAY SET TO RACE IN SEPTEMBER

Sitka, Ky. (July 14 2017) 201 Speedway is pleased to announce to the racing community that dirt track racing will once again return to Sitka, Ky at 201 Speedway. Track Officials have made the decision to get back to racing Labor Day Weekend on Friday Sept. 1st after shutting the gates in early Spring. Officials stated that the track will begin racing on Friday due to the Lucas Oil Late Model Series race being held at Portsmouth Raceway Park on Sept. 2nd but plans on getting back to Saturday nights on Sept. 16th , 23rd, 30th, and Oct.7th.

201 Speedway Officials also announces changes in the racing venue by adding three new divisions and eliminating one from the racing program. Divisions that will be added to program includes Crate Late Models, KDRA Super Streets, and Sport Mods. One Division being eliminated is the Bomber Division. Officials stated that last season at 201 the Bomber Division seemed to be declining and with Mt. Motor Speedway in Isom, Ky. (also a Saturday night track) running bombers the decision was made not to split up the bombers or try to draw them from Mt. Motor as they are in a rebuilding year also.

Divisions that will be on the racing program for this fall are as follows:
Super Late Models
Open Wheel Modifieds
Crate Late Models
KDRA Super Streets
Sport Mods
Stock Four Cylinders

great that their adding a crate class i hope they stay with it and give this class time to grow in this area. on the sport mods go with the rules like AMRA has for this class and have techs that will enforce the rules. good luck 201.
