Tait Davenport Dandy in Summit Racing Equipment AMS Hope for Harlie Benefit at Cedar Ridge Speedway

Morgantown, KY – July 15, 2017 - The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series would visit Cedar Ridge Speedway in Morgantown, KY for the track’s annual Hope for Harlie Benefit event and Tait Davenport of Paducah, KY would bring out the broom and make it a clean sweep for the evening as he would set quick time, win his heat, and lead all 30 laps of the main event on his way to a $2,000 victory.

Tait Davenport would take the initial lead at the drop of the green flag and the only thing that slowed his pace would be a trio of caution flags that waved over the course of the first seven laps of the event. After the lap seven restart, Davenport would again motor away from the field and would only be slowed by one final caution on lap twenty-three on his way to the checkered flag and a visit to victory lane. Brian Shaw would take runner-up honors in the contest, while series points leader Josh Harris would turn in another great effort with a third-place finish. Chad Boone would garner fourth place honors at the finish, while Tyler Nicely would advance from his ninth starting position to complete the top five in fifth position.

The remainder of the top ten at the completion of the Hope for Harlie A-Main at Cedar Ridge Speedway would be Danny Schwartz, Gabe Menser, Darin Obenchain, Kevin Pedigo, and Tyler Weiss.

The next event for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be Friday August 25 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN for the 4th Annual J.B. Robinson Memorial event that has been rescheduled from being rained out on April 28. The event will pay $2,000 to win and $200 to start.
