Dennis Erb Racing in South Dakota and Nebraska this Week with LOLMDS

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team continued their hectic month of July with two more Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on July 14-15. On Friday night in the $10,000 to win 'NAPA Know How 50' at Granite City, Dennis timed in eighth quickest in Group A during the qualifying session prior to running sixth in his stacked heat race. After grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his B-Main, Dennis worked past ten competitors during the 50-lap headliner en route to a respectable eleventh place performance.

At Wheatland on Saturday evening, a $12,000 top prize was on the line in the annual running of the 'CMH Diamond Nationals.' Dennis stopped the clock fourth quickest in Group B during time trials and later finished third in heat race action. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the 60-lapper, the Carpentersville, Illinois standout maneuvered his Black Diamond Chassis past a handful of racecars on his way to a steady seventh place showing. Dennis still finds himself eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the doubleheader weekend. The cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will now head to the states of South Dakota and Nebraska this week for two additional high-profile showdowns. Up first will be a first-time visit to Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota tonight, July 18 for the ‘Bullet SportsWear Shootout,’ which pays $10,000 to the winner. Dennis will then tackle the 7th Annual ‘Silver Dollar Nationals’ on July 21-22 at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. Following a double set of qualifying heat races on Friday evening, a whopping $53,000 windfall will be up for grabs on Saturday night in an 80-lap main event in the Cornhusker State.
