Chris Ferguson Preps for Prairie Dirt Classic; Welcomes New Sponsor

Mt. Holly, North Carolina (07/19/17) – As Chris Ferguson prepares his Diff-Tran Machining #22 K&K Trucking/ Rocket Chassis XR1/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model for next week’s 28th Annual Prairie Dirt Classic, he’s proud to announce another marketing partner has joined his team.

“Christopher Reeve, who owns Christopher Reeve’s Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair, has come on board as a new marketing partner with our team,” Ferguson noted. “Christopher does a lot to support racing and fields entries for a couple of drivers in the area. We are excited to be involved with someone whose passion for racing matches ours.

“We are really grateful to have Christopher’s company on board with us as well as all of our great marketing partners. Hopefully we can pick up some big wins for them during the second half of the season.”

Ferguson’s next pursuit of a big payday will come July 28-29 at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), when he enters the 28th Annual Prairie Dirt Classic. The World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series event will culminate with a $30,000-to-win feature.

This past Saturday night Chris Ferguson traveled to Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Virginia) to compete in the opener for the 2017 edition of the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series. With 28 Super Late Models signed in, Ferguson followed up the second fastest time in his group behind Vic Hill with a heat race victory. Earning the 4th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Chris overtook race-leader Ross Bailes on lap-9 and went on to build a comfortable lead. Unfortunately, his time at the front would be limited. Running into suspension issues on lap-20, Ferguson was forced pitside while being credited with a 19th-place finish.
