Conley Motorsports, Inc. Flexes Muscle at Three Buckeye State Ovals Last Weekend
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Delmas Conley and his son Rod Conley both traveled to area tracks on Saturday evening, July 15 for $2,000 to win weekly programs. At the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, Delmas started thirteenth on the feature grid before driving up to second to finish an impressive runner-up behind only victor Robbie Lewis. Rod was in action at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio and unfortunately suffered a flat tire during the headliner, but was still able to salvage a steady sixth place performance.
Rod and his #71r team then headed north to Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio on Sunday for an unsanctioned Super Late Model battle, which boasted a $5,000 top prize. "Hot Rod" placed third in his heat race and later started the 30-lap feature from the inside of the fifth row. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace then strolled past six competitors during the A-Main en route to a third place podium showing behind only race winner Rusty Schlenk and runner-up Jared Miley. Three Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams will sling dirt this upcoming weekend (July 21-22) in their home state of Ohio. Delmas and R.J. Conley will both bring their respective racecars to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday night for another $2,000 to win showdown. Rod Conley will embark on the start of Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week in a pair of specials at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio and Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. A $3,000 winner’s check will be on the line on Friday evening at MCS, while a $4,000 windfall awaits the victor on Saturday at Wayne County.
