CARNESVILLE, GA – Get the latest news and information about everything FASTRAK and ULTIMATE this Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Eastern Time with the FASTRAK/ULTIMATE Live Forum on Facebook Live with Host FASTRAK/ULTIMATE General Manager D.J. Irvine. There will be a lot to discuss with FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series and ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series races.
The FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series South East Region had an action packed Rebel Yell 40 on Saturday night at Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, GA that had tightened up the most competitive championship battle in all of dirt late model racing. The point lead has changed hands six times among four different drivers in the first seven races of the season, and just 12 points separate the top five drivers.
That point battle will continue this coming Saturday night when the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series will compete in what is now the second jewel of the FASTRAK Triple Crown with a $3,000-to-win, $250-to-start race at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, VA. This race was rescheduled from a May 28 rainout and will award points for both the South East and Mid-Ohio Valley Regions.
The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will be singing “Georgia On My Mind” with a double-header this weekend featuring a pair of $4,000-to-win, $400-to-start races. The ULTIMATE South East Region stars will visit Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA on Friday night, and then it’s on to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA.
One thing ULTIMATE SE fans, competitors and officials don’t want to hear is the “R” word, as Mother Nature has spread out enough liquid sunshine to postpone the last three ULTIMATE races. Both races this weekend are events that have been rescheduled from earlier in the season, and the drivers are anxious, as they haven’t raced ULTIMATE-style in over a month.
The latest point standings and race results for the FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series will also be revealed. Competitors at FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series tracks are competing for a Division point fund, and a National point fund that pays $10,000 to the National Champion.
FASTRAK drivers are also looking to make sure they get in their ten required races to participate in both nights of the richest weekend in all of Pro Late Model Racing at the World Championship Weekend at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA on September 15-16.
On September 15, it’s the $5,000-to-win World Challenge Race for FASTRAK Members with ten or more races in 2017. Then on September 16, it the $20,000-to-win 14th Annual World Championship Race that is open to all drivers with a FASTRAK-legal Pro Late Model powered by a Chevrolet Performance 604 or 602 Circle Track Engine.
