Dennis Erb, Jr. Solid in Pair of Lucas Oil Showdowns in South Dakota and Nebraska

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series made their first-ever visit to Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Tuesday evening, July 18 for the 'Bullet Sportswear Shootout,' which boasted a $10,000 winner's check. Dennis Erb, Jr. knocked down the fourth fastest time in Group B during qualifying and later ran second in heat race action. After starting the 50-lap feature event from the outside of the fourth row, Dennis put forth a strong run in the action-packed race - eventually guiding his #28 Black Diamond Chassis to a strong tenth place effort.

Following the mid-week special in South Dakota, the Dennis Erb Racing team crossed through the pit gate at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 21-22 for the 7th edition of the 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' The two-day Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series spectacular, which paid a record high $53,000 to the winner, started on Friday night with two rounds of qualifying heat races. Dennis won his first heat race of the evening before recording a sixth place finish in his final prelim.

By virtue of racking up the twelfth most passing points, Dennis rolled off from the outside of the sixth row in Saturday's 80-lap 'Silver Dollar Nationals.' The Carpentersville, Illinois native was then caught up in a lap 52 pileup while solidly inside of the top ten, but soldiered on to a twelfth place performance. Dennis still finds himself eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings exiting the Cornhusker State. Full results from the both throwdowns in South Dakota and Nebraska can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

A lucrative week in their home state of Illinois greets the #28 team from July 25-29, as a trio of high-profile events will be held at three different bullrings in the Land of Lincoln. Another mid-week Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series shootout will kick things off later tonight, July 25 at the tiny Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois. A pair of World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series battles will then take center stage at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois and Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois as the week goes on.
