Brandon Kinzer Claims Top Ten in Southern Nationals Stop at Boyd’s Speedway

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team dipped down south on July 23-24 for a pair of Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series throwdowns in the Peach State of Georgia. A $5,300 winner's check was scheduled to be on the line on Sunday evening at Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia, but Mother Nature had other plans and pushed the race back to August 20 due to inclement weather. The doubleheader then wrapped up on Monday night at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia with a $3,500 to win duel.

Brandon Kinzer knocked down the eighth quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later placed sixth in his stacked heat race. Brandon then started the 35-lap headliner from the outside of the eighth row and had his sights set on making a charge through the pack at the Chattanooga-area facility. Before the track took rubber and made passing more difficult, BK was able to pick off six competitors to climb to tenth in the final rundown. Full results from last night at Boyd's Speedway can be accessed online at www.southernnationalsseries.com.

Plans call for the #18 team to enjoy the July 28-29 weekend away from the racetrack, but they will be busy preparing their equipment for their next race on Friday, August 4 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky. The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Series will invade “The Pond” next Friday to preside over a $3,000 to win shootout.
