broke drive shaft in dash race passing in turn 2....they got it back together and JD is starting outside row 1 for A-main right now.

well, guys...JD parked it, and it wasn't even close! The XR1 was flying. Congrats to JD on win #1 on the year. Kind of says something about how it just wasn't working with BWRC. He was 0 for 30 something there and 1 for 1 so far with GR Smith. A track he has never raced on. XR1 was working tonight. Everyone else was standing still.

JD looked liked he was comfortable tonight, Hawkins started 12th and was up to third with in 15?laps and was catching Irwin and JD and engine overheated, it would have been a little more interesting if that wouldn't have happened. Good win for JD though.

He was driving for the McLaughlins' outta NE Ohio so I got to see him quite a bit. Very exciting. And before the guy who made Raceway 7 awesome got rid of it, it was a late model palace. I definitely miss Randle.

And I don't care who it is, but how you break, and still start outside pole, I dunno. Only thing I can think of was it was the Australian pursuit they used to line them up by, and JD was leading when he broke. And it was only him and Senic I think it was left. So therefore yes he'd start 2nd.

It's definitely a boost for JD. Though his pics don't look very enthusiastic. I think tonight will put a fire under him. Midway will have some good cars, paying 12k, and if it has some bite in it, he'll be able to haul a$$ around there. One of my favorite places.

for those that don't know, an Australian pursuit race is when you put the fastest cars in the back, if a car is passed they pull off the track and they are out of the race.

for those that don't know, an Australian pursuit race is when you put the fastest cars in the back, if a car is passed they pull off the track and they are out of the race.Yeah, my Dad used to like them when they had them where he raced. Once and a blue moon they'll have them again. Cool they did it, probably a nod to the driver who the race was in memory of.

CNB, you are right there....Australian Pursuit was in memory of Red Frederick who won the last one he entered. It was not a dash and had no bearing on the start of the feature. It was just a money race. 6 cars. 10 laps. winner =$200, 2nd-4th or 5th gets $100. JD breaks a driveshaft. Gets to start feature in his original qualifying position. It did help that they had fireworks at intermission which gave them extra time to do the repairs.

I agree w you dirt crazy but jd not in gr's car for 2018. Thats suposto b just a fill in for this yr as is the #6 for rest of yr.
