You're most welcome dirtdobber, funny how I was rooting for a tie last night between Don and Mike, they both raced hard and clean, and not to take anything away from the frequent winners who we all know, it was good to see these two have the success they did. I still like seeing parity in DLM racing.

Track was tacky fast/crazy 1st 40 laps. Great battle for the lead between Marlar and Owens, then 4 car battle with those 2 plus O'Neal and Shirley.

B-Shepp was on the move early, along with Babb while K-rob went backwards.

Feger passed 60 cars...just happened to be the same 4 guys 15 times. Even though he fell a lap down, little after 1/2 way, he was matching the leaders lap for lap up top. Starting 22nd killed his night.

Once the track slicked off veteran guys like Bloomer and MacDowell started getting stronger.

Young Bobby's car really came to life the last 1/4 of the race. He clearly had the fastest car on the track last 15 laps.

Marlar was strong all weekend long and Madden looked good considering it was only his 2nd time at the place.

O'Neal earned it. He drove the crap out of that car and did so in exciting fashion.

Great race, great weekend.

Forgot....Chub took his "gift" provisional and his $2500 and was one of the first to pull off the track.

One bad wreck on the backstretch, but credit to Furman, his car got wadded up, but he got back on the track and only lost 3 laps. He was the one surprise of the fansfund drivers.

Good racing overall, esp with Fri nite conditions.

My only complaint was the dragging the show out. It took way too much time for Sat nites show to get run. I thought I was at one of my local tracks.

Mike Marlar was the driver to beat and had a very fast car. If B1 would have not caused Marlar so much trouble when he was being lapped , Marlar would have checked out and Oneal would never have caught him. Marlar never gave up and made several attempts to chase down Oneal and pass him once he got by B1. B1 cost Marlar the win.

Best 5 laps of racing the entire weekend was the battle in Friday night's heat between Bloomer and Madden for the last transfer spot.

Bloomer fans were not happy Scott didn't transfer, understandably so, but everyone was cheering in approval of the efforts of both drivers.

This is JMO, I feel they could do away with the fireworks and put that $ into the purse. I'm not saying the purse is weak, but my god that fireworks show had to cost what Oneal got for winning the race.

I hear you...fireworks don't sway me one way or the other.

The one change I'd like to see at the USA nats is longer heat races on Friday night. I'd like to see the heats increased to 20 laps with a bonus paid to the winners (SDN at I-80 has this right) Use the firework $$ for that and a non-qualifiers race on Sat night.

Have to say this I brought my Grand kids this year that are 5 and 3 and the fireworks was the draw. Agree with the 20 lap heats. Let's be real they could run the show all in one night.

True, they could run this show on one day, but they couldn't pay the purse with one day ticket price. Guess there are no free lunchs.
