Sounds like there are not many happy people on their facebook page. Seems it is only sprinkling and will be over in 2 hours. A few mentioned how there was dust as they were driving away. I would think there was going to be a good gate tonight.

I think many of them were locals and said this isn't the first time the promoter of the track has done this. Just going off of what others are saying. smh.....the tracks in my area are just the opposite. It can be pouring rain, and if you call they'll deny it and say its nothing but sunshine!

That's crazy when that race appears to be a really big deal for that area!

Horrible move. Logistically was going to work well for a lot of teams. And yes, that is that tracks biggest race. Remember, they canceled the Buckeye Speedweeks race too. You can't start doing that sh!t, it'll ruin your reputation. The Jim Dunn should be run next to it being Captain Obvious they won't get it in. Very light sprinkles is it. And cloudy. Perfect, for great racing. Jim Dunn lived close to there, and certainly deserves a better effort at getting this race in. October is a horrible time to make up this race.

I live about 25 miles from the track. It sprinkled around lunchtime for 5 minutes. Been dry ever since. It's going to be hard for Midway to make something of themselves with their quick trigger cancellations.

Hope they cranked up the fuel, set the chip to jet mode, and hooked up the stealth mode radar scrambler in the hauler as they are going to have to put the hammer down to get there in time.

Very bad move. From what I can tell, it appears as if this was a race ran by Gibby's King series bunch and it looks like they didn't want to back up that hefty purse when no one was there. Hope it goes well for the sake of the fans and Dunn family in October though.

Had say a Rusty Schlenk pulled this move, he'd be labeled as a cherry picker. Great to see JD back in victory lane. I'm sure he'll be successful running regional shows such as this. The victory was a good warmup (always impressive when you can win from the back), but on a National level it will be a lot tougher. Good luck to the Super Hero. He's gonna need it.

No way see it as cherry picking. I see it as a driver and his new team getting to know each other and getting some on track practice/shake down at a couple actual races and not just from renting a track before they hit the upcoming big shows. Can gain more info from being out there with 23 other cars in a real time race mode and conditions then out there by yourself turning laps.
