Billy Moyer Jr. Snares Pair of Wins; North-South 100 Next
Batesville, Arkansas (08/09/17) – Billy Moyer Jr. enjoyed an exceptional weekend in his Crop Production Services #21jr Billy Moyer Victory Race Car/ Pro Power Racing Engines Super Late Model. He picked up a pair of victories in the Southeast region.
“We really wanted to go to Cedar Lake Speedway for the USA Nationals, but I was down on crew help, so we decided to stay closer to home,” Moyer Jr. said. “It turned out to be a great weekend. This ole hot rod is rolling really good right now, and hopefully we can make some noise this weekend at the North-South 100.”
Billy Moyer Jr. returned to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) on Friday for the rescheduled COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) feature, which was delayed by rain a week ago. After laying down the fastest time overall in a field of 18 cars, Moyer Jr. cruised to a heat race win, earning him the pole position for the feature.
Jumping into the lead on the drop of the green flag, Billy led wire-to-wire, capturing his eighth win of the season, topping Wendell Wallace, Robert Baker, Chandler Petty, and Scott Crigler at the finish line. Billy Moyer Jr. was awarded a $2,000 payday for his dominant performance in the 30-lapper.
Saturday night took Moyer Jr. to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi), competing in a field of 27 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) entries. Posting a Dash win early in the night, Billy earned the pole position for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Holding off the field late in the 50-lapper, Billy Moyer Jr. scored his third-straight win and ninth overall on the season over Brian Rickman, Garrett Alberson, Chris Wall, and David Breazeale.

This weekend – August 10-12 – the team travel to Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky), to compete in the annual North-South 100.
