Brothers Rod and R.J. Conley Both Bag $2,000 Victories; R.J. Ready for North/South 100!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Brothers Rod and R.J. Conley both visited victory lane over the August 4-5 weekend at two different venues in southern Ohio! "Hot Rod" Conley won his heat race on Friday night at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio to earn the pole position for the unsanctioned feature event. Rod then controlled the field from flag-to-flag to bag the $2,000 winner's check over Steve Casebolt, John Whitney, Jr., Jason Montgomery, and Mike Meyers. On Saturday evening in another $2,000 to win program at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, Rod placed second in both his heat race and the main event - finishing behind only victor Jackie Boggs.

R.J. took his #71c team to the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday and proceeded to pick up his third triumph of the 2017 racing season! R.J. won the dash and later led all 25 circuits in the headliner from the pole position to claim the $2,000 payday over his Hall of Fame father Delmas Conley, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Josh Bocook, and Kenny Christy. Delmas - the patriarch of the racing Conley family - ran third in the fast dash before moving up one spot in the weekly Super Late Model A-Main. Full results from all three Buckeye State venues can be viewed online at www.molerracewaypark.com, www.atomicspeedway.net, and www.portsraceway.com.

Conley Motorsports, Inc. will be represented by Wheelersburg, Ohio native R.J. Conley on August 10-12 at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The 34th edition of the ‘North/South 100’ will take place at the undersized 1/2-mile clay oval this weekend and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again preside over all of the racing action. Things kick off at the Cincinnati-area speedplant later tonight with the ‘North/South Shootout’ – a complete program paying $10,000 to the winner.

A double set of preliminary heat races will then take center stage on Friday night with passing points determining the lineups for Saturday’s dashes and consolation events. After all preliminary races are held, the crown jewel extravaganza will culminate with the ‘North/South 100,’ which will once again boast an enormous $50,000 paycheck for the victor of the 100-lap contest. R.J. last transferred into the Florence biggie back in 2013 when he earned Fast Time honors during qualifying before running thirteenth in the extra-distance affair.
