Riley Hickman Digs Deep for Duck River Cash; Busy Weekend Ahead
Cleveland, Tennessee (08/15/17) – Riley Hickman took the Rickey Tucker Motorsports #R01 Longhorn Chassis Crate Late Model to Victory Lane on Saturday night at Duck River Raceway Park.
“Between a busy work schedule and not much luck going our way on the track, it’s been way too long since we picked up a win,” Hickman said. “Maybe this one we’ll get things rolling in the right direction again. I want to thank Rickey [Tucker] for giving me an awesome car to drive.”
Saturday found Riley Hickman in action at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) as he took part in a Weekly Racing Series Event. He started the night by registering the fastest time in a field of 12 Crate Late Models before finishing second in his heat race. The finale found Hickman outdueling Jesse Lowe to pick up his fourth win of the season and a $1,000 payday. Lowe, Josh Amacher, Christian Hanger, and Jeff Frame completed the Top-5 finishers in the A-Main.

The upcoming weekend – August 17-20 – has Riley planning to enter a quartet of events. Action opens on Thursday at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) with the annual Scorcher 100, which will pay $10,000 to the winner of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series sanctioned event. Friday night Ultimate Series action will take Riley to Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee) for a $4,000-to-win affair. The ultra-busy stretch will round out on Saturday and Sunday with Southern Nationals Bonus Series events at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia) and Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia).
