Logan Roberson Sweeps the Battle at the Bay; Four-Race Stretch Ahead

Waynesboro, Virginia (08/15/17) – Logan Roberson enjoyed a stellar weekend in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 Rocketman Racing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model. He swept the Battle at the Bay events to push his 2017-win tally to 10.

Logan Roberson was one of 12 RUSH Crate Late Models on hand at Potomac Speedway (Budd’s Creek, Maryland) on Friday night, opening the two-day Battle at the Bay. Jumping into the lead on lap 8 of the feature, Logan held off the field during the remaining 12 circuits to register his ninth win of the season and a $1,000 payday. Jamie Sutphin, Darren Alvey, Chuck Bowie, and Matt Glanden rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday night, traveling to Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) for the $1,100-to-win Battle at the Bay A-Main, Roberson passed five cars in his heat race, notching a 2nd-place finish behind Sparky White. Receiving the 4th-starting position for the feature viathe redraw, Logan led the final 10 laps of the A-Main, capturing his second win of the weekend and 10th overall on the season. Transtan Stoner, Sparky White, Darren Alvey, and Tanner Kerr trailed Roberson across the finish line.

“It was another great weekend for us, and with the big plans we have for the upcoming weekend it’s great to gain some momentum,” Roberson said. “Hopefully we can bank four more wins this week.”
