Jesse Lowe Tops Crossville Speedway Action for Win #16
Crossville, Tennessee (08/15/17) – Jesse Lowe continued his banner season over the weekend in his Xtreme Pressure Washing #5j Gondola Pizza & Steakhouse CVR Race Car.
By the time the two-day run was over he had collected his 16th win of the 2017 campaign.
Friday night found Jesse Lowe back in action at Crossville Speedway (Crossville, Tennessee), competing in a field of 15 Crate Late Models. After laying down the fastest time in qualifying, Jesse led wire-to-wire in the A-Main, capturing his 16th win of the season. Rusty Ballenger, Jordan Horton, Jeff Watson, and Deke Waters rounded out the Top 5.
The following night, Lowe was one of 12 Crate Late Models on hand at Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) to compete for the $1,000 top prize. Starting the night by laying down the third fastest time in qualifying, Jesse captured a heat race win, positioning him on the pole for the main event.
After leading the opening eight circuits, Jesse Lowe dropped one spot on the ensuing restart and held his position for the remaining distance of the feature to place in the runner-up position behind Riley Hickman. Josh Amacher, Christian Hanger, and Jeff Frame completed the Top 5 finishers.
“It was another really good weekend for us,” Lowe said. “Friday night went flawless, and we had a winning car on Saturday night too, but I went with an older tire for the feature, and it glazed up after that lap-8 restart. It’s a little disappointing, but definitely nothing to hang our heads about. Congrats to Hickman on getting the win.”

Another double dip is on tap for Lowe this weekend. On Friday night he’ll be in action at his home track – Crossville Speedway – before traveling to Fort Payne Motor Speedway (Fort Payne, Alabama) on Saturday night to chase the $2,500 winner’s check with the United Crate Racing Alliance (UCRA).
