Logan Roberson Grabs #11; Potomac and Winchester this Weekend

Waynesboro, Virginia (08/22/17) – Logan Roberson continued his winning ways over the weekend in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ Rocketman Racing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model.

He registered his 11th win of 2017 with a victory on Saturday evening at Virginia’s Winchester Speedway.

“It was a really busy weekend for us,” noted Roberson. “I would’ve liked to have gotten more than one win, but in four races we didn’t finish worse than fifth so I definitely can’t complain about that.”

On Thursday evening Logan Roberson made the trip to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) for the 13th Annual Scorcher. With 24 Crate Late Models on hand, Roberson timed in 10th-fastest overall, locking him into the 10th-starting position for the feature. Breaking into the Top 5, Logan wheeled his way up to a 5th-place finish behind Ross White, Rusty Ballenger, Cory Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word), and Jason Trammell.

The following night Logan traveled to Path Valley Speedway (Spring Run, Pennsylvania), competing in the Crate Late Model ranks. Bringing home a Top 5 in the weather-delayed feature, Roberson posted a 3rd-place finish behind Brad McGinnis and Tim Snare with Bryan Benton and Steve Lowery completing the Top-5 finishers.

Saturday night brought Logan to the familiar confines of Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia), where he started the night by registering the 3rd-fastest time overall in a field of 26 RUSH Crate Late Models. Rolling off 3rd for the A-Main, Roberson overtook Chuck Bowie on lap 8 and held off a hard-charging Mike Franklin in the late-stages of the 25-lapper to claim his 11th win of the season. Franklin, Tanner Kerr, Transtan Stoner, and Chuck Bowie followed him across the finish line.

Wrapping up the four-race weekend, Roberson stopped at Tri-City Raceway Park (Franklin, Pennsylvania) on Sunday for the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned event. Drawing a stout field of 48 cars for the Summer Showdown, Logan followed up fastest time overall with a heat race win, earning him the 4th-starting position for the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Passing two cars in the 30-lap affair, Logan Roberson notched a 2nd-place finish behind Mike Pegher Jr. with Jason Genco, Bryce Davis, and Chad Wright completing the Top 5 finishers.
