Rhett Carter Conquers Cochran; Busy Labor Day Weekend Ahead
Blackshear, Georgia (08/31/17) – Rhett Carter increased his 2017-win tally to double digits over the weekend in his Continental Tire #44 Jeff’s Heating & Air/ Rocket Chassis XR1 / Wildcat Performance Engines Late Model.
The Georgia racer conquered his 10th win of 2017 with a Saturday night triumph at Cochran Motor Speedway.
“We couldn’t have scripted the night any better,” Carter said. “We unloaded fast and were able to sweep the program. With a busy holiday weekend in front of us, hopefully we can continue our good luck.”
Rhett Carter visited Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) on Saturday evening to take part in the Sportsman Showdown. After starting the night by recording the fastest time in qualifying, Carter cruised to his 10th win of the season in the feature, capturing the $2,600 payday.

Rhett’s Labor Day weekend of racing kicks off on Saturday at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Georgia) with a night of double duty. The Southern Thunder Late Model Series posts a $2,000 top prize, while the Crate Late Model division also posts a $2,000 winner’s check.
On Sunday the action shifts back to Cochran Motor Speedway, where the Southern Thunder Late Model Series will sanction a $3,000-to-win program.
