Ponderosa Speedway Will Resume Action Friday September 29th $2,000 to win Late Models
JUNCTION CITY, KY (September 7, 2017)—Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky. will resume racing action on Friday Night September 29th featuring Super Late Models, Crate Late Models, Super Stocks and Four Cylinders.
In other news of interest, the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series and Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series events scheduled during the Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial have been canceled for Friday September 15th. A makeup date is possible for this event but the date of September 15th is not suitable as the track will take the next few weeks off before returning for the September 29th event.
On Friday September 29th, the track will host an un-sanctioned $2,000-to-win Super Late Model event, plus Crate Late Models racing for $1,000-to-win, Super Stocks racing for $750-to-win and $500-to-win for Four Cylinders. Payouts and other information will be released next week. Also of note, a $500 bonus has been posted for any Super Late Model driver that hasn’t won an event the last two seasons at the Speedway, if they win on September 29th. Also, a $250 bonus has been posted for any Crate Late Model competitor that hasn’t won a feature event at Ponderosa Speedway in the last two seasons.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series-sanctioned 27th Annual Fall Classic paying $15,000-to-win for Super Late Models remains on the track schedule and details will be released on the event in the coming weeks.
