Wow !! That guy who sings the National Anthem is pretty datn good. Awesome job. I believe that his name is Rusty Shields.

I remember when he asked me if he could sing the anthem at brownstown a few years ago and as soon as he was done I made sure he or a recording of him doing it was played week in and week out. He does it for us at Bloomington Speedway most weeks as well.

He is the best there is right now, bar none

Not to take anything away from the job the guy did at Eldora but I'd put the rendition of The National Anthem that Jim Leach does prior to the Bettenhausen Memorial 100 USAC Silver Crown race at Springfield, Illinois up against anyone, anywhere. Leach is a local Springfield radio personality and can belt out The Star Spangled Banner with the very best of them!!

With the quality of Rusty's singing and with what appeared to be a WWII plane flying overhead with a "smoke" trail, I've not seen any better @ a dirt track race!!
