James Essex stated at the World that Jacobsen would make a return to late model racing in a month. Anyone have any more info? Super nice guy and enjoyed watching him

After one of the races that I attended recently (don't remember which one) I thought I saw him in the hotel that I was staying at. The next day I overheard someone say that he was getting back into late model racing.

If I'm not mistaking his family is part of soilfume and well-pict berries. Which over4T was meaning by the strawberry season in CA.

Ok I have seen him race before and couldnt figure out where he got all his $. If i remember right it was #5 car possibally yellow in color?

Car was always black. Number is right, though.

He and his dad were semi regulars at Antioch Speedway, the CA one, some 15 or so years ago and had the biggest truck/trailer combo in the pits at the bullring 1/4. Pitted near them several times and I got on well with his dad and the amounts he told me he spent were astronomical. My construction company had Smuckers' strawberry plants in Oxnard and Watsonville as a customer for many years. The plants were only open for 8-12 weeks every year and we did repairs and remodels on the place so I know what kind of bucks are in the strawberry biz.
