Brandon Kinzer Solid in World 100 Prelims at Eldora Speedway

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team invaded the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 7-9 for the 47th edition of the "Granddaddy of Them All" - the 'World 100.' The three-day crown jewel spectacular at the Darke County facility started with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs with each feature winner receiving $10,000 for their efforts. On Thursday night, Brandon knocked down the thirteenth fastest lap of the 104 entrants during qualifying, ran third in his heat race, and later wound up twenty-second in the final finishing order of the 25-lap sprint. At the "Big E" on Friday evening, Brandon placed second in his heat race prior to slipping back to eighteenth at the checkered flag in his 25-lapper.

The largest crowd in the fabled history of Eldora Speedway then assembled on Saturday to witness the 'World 100' and to watch someone walk away with $50,000, along with the famous globe trophy. BK finished seventh in his stacked heat race and fourteenth in his B-Main. Unfortunately, the Lexington, Kentucky ace was not able to crack the starting field for the 100-lap headliner, which was eventually won by Jonathan Davenport. Complete results from the Buckeye State can be obtained by clicking on www.eldoraspeedway.com.

The Kinzer Motorsports team has opted to take the upcoming September 15-16 weekend off from racing action, but may return to the track the following September 22-23 weekend. No plans are set in concrete at this time; however. Keep up on Brandon’s latest confirmed schedule dates by logging onto www.brandonkinzer.com.
