So sorry to hear. I've always been a fan of the Schefflers. Good people to race with and be around. I can only assume his passing was unexpected. Russ couldn't have been much older than me.

I knew him and his Dad George from my Hales Corners days... both great racers. Sad to hear the news today... RIP.

Sad news. He was running at Kankakee pretty regularly a few years back. Been a Fan ever since. He could run with the best of them. He was only 54. What happened?
