Brucebilt Iron-Man Modified Series Opens Double-Header Weekend at Crossville Speedway September 22

SOMERSET, KY (September 16, 2017)—The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will make its first-ever visit to the high banks of the Lewis Jackson-promoted Crossville Speedway located in Crossville, Tenn. on Friday Night September 22nd as the Mod Squad will race 25 laps for $1,200-to-win and $125-to-start. This will open a double-header weekend as the tour travels to Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. on Saturday Night September 23rd racing for $1,500-to-win.

In addition to the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, the Crate Late Models, Sportsman, Super Stocks, Front Wheel Drives and Dwarfs will all be on the racing card.

The pit gates open at 4:00 pm CST, the grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm CST with the drivers meeting slated for 7:00 pm CST and hot laps will roll out at around 7:15 pm CST. Adult general admission is $15.00 per person while adult tier parking is $20.00 and adult pit passes are $35.00.

On The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series, there have been eight different winners in eleven events held. Brad Hall, Clayton Miller (twice), Shon Flanary (three wins), Keith Smith, Blake Brown, Devin Gilpin, Victor Lee and Jimmy Payne have all been victorious. A very tight points battle brings the series to Crossville Speedway September 22nd. Shon Flanary of Surgoinsville, Tenn. leads the points by a mere four markers over Blake Brown of Corbin, Ky. heading into the final events on the season. Just five points events remain as the tour will finish the season and the champion of the Modified and the Late Model Series will be crowned on Saturday November 25th at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. during the Leftover race.

Some bonuses have been posted for the weekend’s Modified Series action. The highest finisher of the two nights racing will receive a $300 bonus courtesy of Smoky Mountain Speedway. Also, a long haul award has been posted worth $100 to any driver that attends both events and is from the furthest distance .

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the racing program. The entry fee for Modified competitors will be $25. The Modified tire rule for the event will be as follows: Front- Medium, A40S, M-30s, A40, Hard, H40, & M-60 (siping allowed on front due to carry-over from 2016 season); Rear- Hoosier A40S, M-30S, A40, Hard, H40, M-60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard with no grooving allowed. The only tires that can be siped on the rear is the Hoosier M-60 and American Racer Extra Hard.
