29 lates. Tony doesn’t like social media bashing, but I’ve been here since 5 and I’ve seen the Track prepped 3 times now. Advertised start time 5:30 and it’s 6:30 now and just seen hot laps and time trails so far. Had a black slick track like the drivers want and tilling it all up now/

That's crazy. Pushed up start times because of people having to get up the next morning. Hope the racing is good after the track prep.

Erb wins Simpson feger. Very good race. Simpsonwas leading and slides into turn 4 on last lap lealttinf erb slide up in front of him for the win. Race was worth the wait. Even though it would have been nice to have been done earlier on a work night after a long weekend of racing

Good race. Exciting finish. Couldn't ask for much more. I did expect to get out of there a lil earlier than that. The supposed early??? start time was the deciding factor on going. That was kinda messed up.

Them winged sprints are some wild machines:cool:

Was my first visit to LaSalle. It was a great show. They did not start on time, but I'm guessing some of that had to do with the heat & not wanting to start hot laps at 4:30 when it was 90 or so. Show was still done by just after 10. I was home by 12:15. Short night but it was worth the drive. I will be back.

The driver's meeting was on time as scheduled, but during that it was announced hot laps would be delayed to actually let the sun go down a little bit. I assume to try and save what they could of the track, and to maybe "ease the pain" of those getting sweaty in firesuits, etc. Then, while the late models had transponders, it became apparent they were not working once qualifying began. That required them to send the cars out one at a time and utilize the IRA timing light. So that unfortunately meant twice as long as it would have been qualifying two cars at a time.

Even though I was left to watch, the last two laps and Erb winning made the entire evening worth it! Simpson and Feger put on quite a show on the high side. And a very methodical race at the end by Dennis. Looked like a good crowd too. Hopefully everyone left satisfied!

Never thought the track would be racy for the late models. A quick touch up and some water.... the late models feature was a gem. Izzo found a combination that works, Late Models...Winged Sprints.....Midgets. The early start time was ambitious but sun and heat factors spoiled the plan.
