Dustin Strand Stomps the Stampede for Win #14

Grand Forks, North Dakota (09/27/17) – Over the weekend Dustin Strand returned to winning form in his Naastad Acres #71 Keewatin Truck Service/ Q&Z Plumbing & Heating/ Millenium Chassis Modified.

Strand streaked to the triumph in the Modified portion of the 46th annual Stampede at Jamestown Speedway. It marked his 14th victory of the season.

“The Stampede is always one of my favorite events each year,” Strand noted. “A win in the Modified and a runner-up in the Late Model made for a really strong weekend for our team. It felt great to get back to Victory Lane. We’ve been close to wins over the past month, but have just fallen a little short. We finally put it altogether this weekend.

Pulling double duty in the Late Model and Open Wheel Modified ranks, Dustin Strand traveled to Jamestown Speedway (Jamestown, North Dakota) on Friday night for the opening round of the 46th annual Stock Car Stampede. In a field of 25 Super Late Models, Strand locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night with a second-place finish in his heat behind Ryan Mikkelson.

Starting in the sixth position for the feature, Dustin gained four spots in the 30-lap affair registering a second-place finish behind Don Shaw with Chad Becker, Zach Naastad, and Cole Schill rounding out the Top 5.

In the Open Wheel Modified division, Strand started his weekend with an 8-lap heat race win from the eighth-starting position. Rolling off fifth on the grid for the feature, Dustin held off a hard-charging Jeremy Keller late to capture his 14th win of the season over Keller, Jason Grimes, Robert Hellebust, and Josh Eberhardt.
