Yea I smell something fishy there. What about those races?

He don't get any points from that 3 day weekend, so it's like he's suspended. But why the date to start the 30 days at sept 10th unless it's so he can run the Joliet, Ill races.

Doesn't go into any detail of an infraction. Could be anything under that rule.

Yall sure that those dates arent an example of how the suspension would run? I dont see them holding info for 18 days on the suspension. It probably started today. The 28th.

They have yet to do so. Still has him in second. Taking that many away would drop him to 11th

I don't think so. I think that's the explanation of the actual penalty handed out.

I thought the penalty was 90 days... that's what it was last year for other 5 drivers. How do you change the penalty? And I see no way he can not miss WOO races. 30 days is 30 days. Not wait 18 and start the penalty then say well it's 30 days from Sept 10. If that's the case WRG is wrong again.

Since this infraction was at the world 100, that is why his suspension is starting the 10th and since the world was not a WoO race he is not losing 1000 WoO points and his races over the weekend stand.

He loses nothing on his WoO standing or races, only UMP points

Good call bbc. I hadnt looked at it that way but you are exactly right. I couldnt figure out why he would jeperdize his 2nd place in points. Now i see
Thanks for explaining it.

He loses the points from this past weekend. He was racing on a deferral.

The penalty runs for 30 days from Eldora. Really not hard to understand. Not a Madden fan, but jeopardizing second in points, dumb no matter who it is.

Highside Hustler25

Tires were from Eldora. Not WoO sanctioned, but UMP/Dirtcar sanctioned. Loses 1000 dirtcar points. Big deal unless he was gonna sell a few hundred of his points to Schlenk:rolleyes:Other than a fine and lab fee's he is getting off way easy.

No_Weak_Links
09-29-2017, 06:47 AM
He's not getting off easy, he's getting all they can fine him with. He knew the world was not a WOO event and getting caught then wouldn't do much damage...and if he could've gotten away with it would've been smart.

https://speedsport.com/dirt-late-models/world-of-outlaws-late-models/world-racing-grop-penalizes-madden-moran/

So he had two violation this year? He got this one back in July of this year.

Tireguy17
09-29-2017, 07:13 AM
Dirtcar needs to fix this loophole that Madden found. Any penalty in any series under their umbrella crosses over to all series. If this UMP/Dirtcar infraction doesnt carry over to WoO, essentially all the WoO guys could have rolled the same dice at the biggest race of the year and cheat their tires without sitting any WoO shows.

Tireguy17

Id say they do have a grip on the tire situation with the cars across the country getting caught soaking.
Opening the tire rule up would be a bad decision in my opinion. No one wants soaking tires as a necessity to win a race.

It's funny that you say 80 zillion. I thought that dirt late model motor might actually cost that in Zimbabwe dollars, but I went and checked, a dirt late model motor would only cost you a mere 1.8 million in Zimbabwe.

Who knows what it was. There is basically 5 infractions under that rule it could possibly be. Doesn't always have to be soaking.

And I don't get how people say the World is the biggest race of the year. It pays half of what the Dream pays

I guess you are too young to get the history of the World 100 and the history of the sport. I would give almost anything to stand on that stage with that Globe trophy. The Dream, it would just be a nice check.

I can agree with that. As long as there's enough for a full field, it doesn't really matter. All huge car counts mean is more cars go home with nothing.

Back in my pavement promoting days we thought about running a $50K to win 100 lapper against an established 300 lapper in MO. After a bunch of phone calls to drivers and owners we realized that that 300 lap deal had more prestige than anything we could put together regardless of $$$... virtually every driver we called wished us well but said they would be in Missouri that weekend.

Obviously we didn't do it...
