Dennis Erb, Jr. Leads Final Two Circuits at LaSalle for Fifth Victory of 2017 Season!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. celebrated in victory lane for the fifth time in his 2017 campaign on Sunday evening, September 24 in the 'Bill Waite, Jr. Memorial Classic' at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois! Dennis posted the fifth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session prior to running second in heat race action. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the unsanctioned 40-lap feature, Dennis worked the bottom of the 1/4-mile bullring to perfection and eventually grabbed the top spot from Chris Simpson heading to the white flag. The Carpentersville, Illinois star then led the final circuit to bag the $4,000 payday ahead of Simpson, Jason Feger, Paul Parker, and Jeremiah Hurst!

Earlier in the weekend, the #28 team was in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition during the 38th Annual 'Jackson 100' at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on September 22-23. On Friday night in the $7,000 to win weekend opener, Dennis grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his loaded heat race prior to winding up fourteenth in the 30-lap main event. In Saturday's $15,000 to win 'Jackson 100' at the Jackson County Fairgrounds venue, Dennis finished fifth in his heat race, third in the B-Main, and sixteenth in the 100-lap headliner. He left the south-central Indiana track still sitting eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings. Full results from all three weekend races can be viewed by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com and www.lasallespeedway.com.

“We changed some stuff on the car after Brownstown and we really picked up at LaSalle on Sunday night and we were able to get the win,” exclaimed the soft-spoken Erb earlier this week via telephone. “Our car was real good around the bottom of the racetrack and I just had to keep hitting my marks and keep plugging away. Finally (Chris) Simpson slipped up a little bit heading to the white flag and it all worked out for us. Hopefully with the changes we made to the racecar at LaSalle, we are heading in the right direction and we can have a good weekend with the Lucas Series down in Georgia!”

Dennis Erb Racing will have Georgia on Their Mind over the upcoming September 30-October 1 weekend, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over a pair of lucrative events at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia and Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia. A $12,000 top prize will be on the line on Saturday evening in the annual running of the ‘Dixie Shootout,’ while a $10,000 paycheck will be up for grabs in Sunday’s ‘Rome Showdown.’ Additional information on both races at the Mickey Swims-promoted facilities can be accessed by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.
