Delmas Conley Keeps Winning; Nabs #557 at Atomic Speedway for $2,000!

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Delmas Conley recorded career win #557 and the fourth triumph of his 2017 campaign on Saturday evening, September 30 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio! Delmas won his heat race in preliminary competition prior to leading each and every circuit in the 25-lap weekly Super Late Model showdown. At the checkered flag, Delmas beat Jason Montgomery, Dave Hornikel, Billy Gullion, and Harrison Hall to bag the $2,000 winner’s check!

His sons Rod and R.J. Conley ventured to Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio on Saturday night for the annual running of the 'Jim Dunn Memorial.' The unsanctioned program drew 45 competitors to the Buckeye State facility to vie for the $12,000 top prize. R.J. laid down the third fastest lap in Group B during qualifying prior to picking up the win in heat race action.

The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace then fought a tight racecar during the 50-lap main event, but was still able to claim a solid fifth place performance behind only victor Tyler Carpenter, Zack Dohm, Eddie Carrier, Jr., and Devin Moran. Rod finished sixth in his stacked heat race and third in his B-Main prior to advancing up to tenth in the 'Jim Dunn Memorial.' Full results from both weekend races can be viewed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and the Midway Speedway Facebook page.

With Delmas and R.J. Conley slated to enjoy the upcoming October 6-7 weekend off from racing action, Rod Conley will be the lone Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) driver in dirt-slinging competition. “Hot Rod” has plans to vie for the $2,000 payday on Friday night at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio and the $3,000 windfall on Saturday evening in the ‘Paul H Salyer Memorial’ at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky.
