Billy Moyer Masters Granite City for 825th Career Feature Victory!
(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer, of Batesville, Arkansas, captured career victory #825 and the ninth feature win of his 2017 campaign on Friday evening, October 13 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois! Billy tripped the clock second fastest in his group during UMP Super Late Model qualifying prior to picking up the victory in his heat race. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer then maneuvered to the front of the field on lap eight and led the remainder of the 25-lap feature distance to pocket the $2,000 payday. Finishing behind Billy's illustrious #21 machine at the checkered flag was Tim Manville, Billy Moyer, Jr., Jeff Herzog, and Gordy Gundaker! The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will trek east this upcoming weekend to enter the ‘Clark’s Hill Classic’ at Modoc Raceway in Modoc, South Carolina. An open practice session will be held this Friday, October 20 with racing action heating up on Saturday, October 21. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will sanction the single-day shootout, which will boast a $4,000 winner’s check.
